Self-Recorded Testing

This testing option allows students to remotely complete their Practical Exam and Teaching Evaluation through recorded video submissions. The video submissions will be reviewed by BASI Examiners. Centralized Testing fees apply.

It is the student's responsibility to arrange a location to film with access to all apparatus covered in their program. Students will also need to independently arrange a volunteer to teach when filming the teaching portion of the exam. Volunteers should ideally be injury-free, at an intermediate level, and familiar with the BASI methodology. Students are welcome to teach in their preferred language.

Use of BASI Systems equipment is not required for filming. Students must have the ability to record with quality audio and video in order to participate in Self-Recorded Testing.

In order to be eligible for Self-Recorded Testing, students MUST complete all requirements for certification. Please ensure the following requirements are fully completed:

  • Course Completion: Attendance of all modules
  • Midterm Written Exam: Score of 70% or higher (for Comprehensive students only)
  • Final Written Exam: Score of 70% or higher
